Ok, the beginning of Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show. We always begin with the firemen hanging the quilts on the side of the building..... this has become such a spectacle that I even think the firemen get a kick out of it. I swear there were at least 8 of them supervising the event.....
I have also included some of my Hipstamatic iPhone photos...love that App!
Love this shot...I have to admit that the idea for the image came from one of our local photographers, Gary Miller, who did a shot similar to this last year. I loved it.....perfect way to show us!
some new quilters.....
Early morning....the day begins!
Love this with the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show t-shirt quilt hanging below...
My brother and nephew helped hang the Gee's Bend Quilts.
nothing like a pig drinking a Black Butte Porter....
Cindy Young our excellent, featured Machine Quilter....and an employee at the Stitchin' Post.
That is all I can do today....I have a fabric deadline and I have to get back to it! Next...the Teacher Tent!
Have a great day!!

You hit that deadline and we will be back for more..... this "show" is just fun....again and again and again...

Love seeing the quilts and how their hung up - love the Fire Dept.! Firefighters are the best!
I'm so in awe of what you do, what your mom does, what everyone at the Stitchin' Post does, what the fire dept. does… what the whole town does - you guys are the epitome of community!

Cindy Young is awesome! I was so inspired to see her quilting. Thanks again for a wonderful day. I cracked up when I heard a fireman say to a lady, "unless you want to become part of that fire truck you should move on to the sidewalk!" of course he was teasing and that was the best part. Love Sisters and wish I lived closer. I feel so lucky to be able to come every year, stay up at Camp Sherman and that my husband says, Is that all you're buying? You had better get a little extra! Better than diamonds! xo Pam in Chico

Oh yummy! Firemen. I mean, quilts! LOL! A great big thanks to the firefighters who hang those beauties. It sure was fun to see them in all their glory!

I'd been saving this post to look at for just the right moment when I could savor it. It just became my well-deserved treat for not yelling at the person on the other end of the phone. (ugh, I hate having to deal with medical insurance companies)
Firemen and quilts? Almost as yummy as chocolate and the Espresso Vodka that we picked up from that Distillery over in Bend.
How do you guys attach the quilts to the buildings without ruining the quilts and driving the firefighters absolutely bonkers? I've always wondered that

Thank you for sharing, I appreciate practically being there. I went to a similar outdoor quilt show in Trenton, FL (a teeny tiny down in NW central FL). The ambiance can't be beat. Their only quilt shop is also a cafe. Blessings, Janet
